There are many books, magazines, videotapes, even computer databases that can help you find out which companies in your area need people with your skills. The federal government puts out two books that can be very helpful. The Occupational Outlook Handbook and the Dictionary of Occupational Titles. And don't forget the yellow pages of your telephone book. Another example is a book called Contacts Influential.
